What the beeswax wraps are made with?
The beeswax wraps are made with beeswax, coconut oil, jojoba oil, pine tree rosin and the fabric is 100% cotton.
Where does the beeswax comes from?
Our beeswax comes from a local Ontario farm.
What are the wraps sizes?
Currently, we offer 3 different sizes:
- Small 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm)
- Medium 12 x 12 inches (30.5 x 30.5 cm)
- Large 15 x 12 inches (38 x 30.5 cm)
How do I clean them?
Put a small amount of dish detergent on a soft sponge and gently clean the wrap with running cool water. Let them air dry and they are ready to be reused.
How do I make the wraps stick?
Use the warmth of your hands to make them to stick. The wraps can stick to itself or on to different surfaces like ceramic bowls, plastic containers and glass.
What should I do if the beeswax wrap is stiff and not sticky?
To revitalize your beeswax wrap, simply crumple it and the warmth of your hands will make it sticky and soft again.
How long do they last?
It depends on how well they maintained but, on average, the wraps can last for 6 months to a year or more.
What is "beeswax bloom"?
Beeswax bloom is a white film or white spots that may form on the surface of 100% beeswax. Beeswax bloom is completely harmless and is actually an indicator that your beeswax is in fact 100% beeswax and is not mixed with cheaper waxes like soy, paraffin or palm.
How do I discard the beeswax wrap?
Our beeswax wraps are made with natural ingredients and are compostable.
Additional information?
It is important to know that the beeswax wraps can't be exposed to direct heat or hot temperatures, so they can't go to the microwave, dishwasher or be cleaned with hot water.
The wraps are not suitable for very cold temperatures like the freezer, but they ideal for the fridge.
Do not use to wrap meat, especially raw meat.
